Love too strong to fulfill: Paolo Nutini presents the video to the acoustic version of “One Day” exclusively for Bulgaria on Jazzfm.bg

Sharing his wisdom of life, Paolo Nutini focused his latest album Caustic Love on our yearnings and our failing to fulfill them. We are frail as human beings, and to overcome this weakness we only need to keep dreaming and have faith. This is the message that Paolo Nutini’s Caustic Love has been bringing home to the listeners for the past few months – and they are so thankful! – their attachment to his art gets stronger and more personal. How much we need this comfort and support, is evident from the record sales.

A strong believer, Paolo Nutini draws strength from sharing with his listeners on Caustic Love. You can read our review of the album here.

Love too strong to make come true – this is the single One Day that Caustic Love yet again specially addresses the audience with. The video was shocking on the surface – with a storyline of having by disowning others and scenes that required special warning for explicit content. It is even more shocking and explicit in depth, though, as it describes the injuries we inflict to other people with our aggression – it stems from realizing how weak we are. While watching the scenes of suffering out of despair, the dramatic and affectionate voice of Paolo Nutini overtakes the listener with his words of love so strong we are afraid to fulfill.

Paolo Nutini in a café on a sunny day, the wind just gently shaking the branches of trees in green and the folded sunshade umbrellas. He lights up a cigarette, rolls up a sleeve of his T-shirt, the drums signal the beginning of the song and he starts singing. This is the acoustic version of One Day, recorded live – quieter, humbler, deeper in its respect for the power of love…
