Two beautiful talents – one at the peak, the other – at the start of their career, work on a first album together. This will be the debut CD of Magi Alexieva, graduating the Luybomir Pipkov National School of Music. Poogie Bell is the composer of the music, that is performed by him in the company of some more jazz greats – Marcus Miller, Bobby Sparks, Dean Brown, Michael “Patches” Stewart. The drummer discovered the talent of the Bulgarian vocalist when he was in Bulgaria in 2010. Their first two songs – Meet and Soul 69, that will be included on the album scheduled for release in autumn, made their world premiere on Jazz FM. Part OnePart TwoPart ThreeMagi has been singing ever since she was 6. She is laureate of the First Prize at the Golden Harlequin competition in the town of Pleven. Magi is well-known to our listeners with her cover version of the song Feliz Navidad, released last Christmas. This summer the vocalist will graduate the Luybomir Pipkov National School of Music where she studies pop and jazz singing.
